Planning your visit

The Sir John Monash Centre is a 90 minute drive north of Paris. It is located on the D23 road, 20km east of Amiens and halfway between Villers-Bretonneux, Corbie and Fouilloy. The Centre is open every day from 10am to 5pm. Admission is free. Bookings are required for groups, and highly recommended for individuals.

Free WI-FI is available throughout the site enabling visitors to download the SJMC App to their personal smartphones or tablets and, with earphones, begin their own personal experience through Villers-Bretonneux Military Cemetery to the Australian National Memorial and into the Sir John Monash Centre.

Earphones are required to use the App and available from the Centre’s shop for 3€ if visitors do not bring their own. A limited number of loan devices are available for visitors who cannot use their smartphone. While a visit of 1.5 hrs to 3hrs is recommended, the Centre displays over six hours of content.

Visitors can take a break in the Centre’s coffee shop, which sells hot and cold drinks – including Australian style coffee – lunches and snacks. Tour leaders are advised to contact the Centre to book group lunches. The Centre’s gift shop sells a range of items especially designed for the Sir John Monash Centre.

The site is equipped with a series of ramps and lifts to ensure access to visitors with reduced mobility. It also has lockers and restroom facilities.
