The Sir John Monash Centre welcomes students from all around the world and of different age groups by offering experiences adapted to each visitor.
During their visit of the interpretive galleries, teachers and students hear previously untold stories of Australia’s servicemen and women and immerse themselves in their war experience on the Western Front. The Centre’s state-of-the-art technology allows students to tailor their visit to suit their interests and meet curriculum objectives. The visit can be broadened by online resources and free Centre-based activities adapted to teachers’ requirements.
In addition to the SJMC experience, teachers and tour operators can book hands on activities with our experienced team of visitor services officers. We propose a range of activities developed to suit different age groups. All activities are free of charge and larger groups can be split to rotate through the hands-on activities and the visit of the Centre galleries.
We can also help your class conduct a wreath laying ceremony in Villers-Bretonneux Military Cemetery and at the Australian National Memorial.
